I still can’t believe that none of the major fast food restaurants have taken advantage of their enormous supply of on-food media space to drive buzz through Twitter. This isn’t rocket science guys. Spend a little bit of money reworking your packaging and it can pay huge dividends.
I have put together a quick mockup. You could even use stickers to make it easy!
I thought you’d be cooking up a storm of crazy things whole Tara was away. But I think you’ve been working too hard on a special project and time got away from you. Love the 4thmeal hashtag idea.
these fast food joints should totally take better advantage of us web geeks 🙂
I think you’re on to something! Olive Garden could spell out their twitter URL with olives on top of their salad bowls, the possibilities are endless 🙂
We walked through an outdoor shopping mall last weekend and almost every store had a huge sticker on the door that said “Become our fan on Facebook! Follow us on Twitter!” Because it’s important that I know exactly what McAllister’s Deli and Johnny Rockets are up to on a minute by minute basis.
use hashtag #coronarybypass aha
My favorite has got to be Huddle House, now on Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, YouTube, and lord knows what else now. At least they’re leveraging it to bring customers deals and hold contests… I’m actually pretty impressed with how they are using social media and actually understanding it. KFC/PizzaHut recently got on the bandwagon too. They are letting interns run their Twitter accounts.
Local burrito spot in Mt. View CA is offering free food if you friend them on Facebook, small & nimble beats the big chains every time, at least at first….
Great idea, wonder when YUM will call you!
